6. POWER TO SACRIFICE
First, we must become men and women of our word. Take on responsibilities and follow through. No flaking, no broken promises. We say what we mean and do what we say we’ll do. This builds character. You act from your highest self, even when no one is looking. People know they can trust you. When you know and project your strength of character, you’ll feel dignified inside, and others will perceive it in you. You are trustworthy, honorable, and scrupulous. Maintaining this sustained state bring divinity. There is a palpable connection to the higher plane, the Universe, God, however you define it. When you are connected to the divine, you become the very embodiment of grace. And once this grace is intrinsic to your very being, you have the strength to recognize that the truest joy comes from service. We make the world better by sharing our many gifts and helping those in need. The power to sacrifice, to prioritize the serving of others, this is true fulfillment.
Yogiji said it often: “Happiness is your birthright”. It’s not a gift that’s effortlessly bestowed upon us all, though. There is work involved. Luckily, we ALL have the power to get there.
